I started this project with high hopes, I had several great ideas, but in practice seemed to fall apart. I originally wanted to do a piece on competitive gaming and that desire to win that everyone has, then I changed to trying to colorize some of my own hand drawings, but ultimately I decided to create a mash up of several of the characters I have drawn over the years put them in a similar environment on a page and that would be my piece.

However I did run into some struggles on the way. While drawings and scanning the images in went rather smooth I ran into a issue on trying to find a focal point for the whole image, so I eventually decided to inverse the color on all my drawing to give them a new feel, but kept the controller its original drawing making it stand stand out in the foreground.

Overall one of my favorite pieces to work with.

This is one of my favorite videos on the internet and I share a deep connection with it. Since then videos released the community has improved but at the time it was as bad as he describes. The desire to win is a powerful thing and I want to bring out the kind of emotion the video does

This project started out a bit tricky for me, I was having trouble coming up with an idea until I eventually decided to stick with one of my favorite sports, disc golf. I did a whole lap around a private course in Boone called the Spine. Taking a picture if every spot the disc landed.

Afterwards in photoshop I turned each picture around inside the disc and put them on a overlay filter. It created a perfect image around the disc and outside the disc from the size of each picture sticking outside of the edge. Last thing to do was lean up the inside of the disc add a silhouet of someone playing disc gold and then milk in a bit more white to add balance.

For my project on the cyclical nature of things I decided to take it plainly and see it as a continues circle, so I decided to play a round of disk gold in my backyard. I took a picture each time my disc landed and pointed it at my next destination. The images itself lead you into one large circle until you are back at the start once again and it repeats forever.
